Illinois Depth Chart a-shufflin'

The Illinois game depth chart is out. Observations:

- The running back position only runs two-deep, but if it isn't obvious enough already, Jordan Hall is a solid number three. It's looking more and more like Jaamal Berry won't escape a redshirt.

- Solomon Thomas has earned himself the third spot at RDE. He sorta fell off the map after a massive spring, but if he makes any dent in a crowd of DEs champing at the bit for more playing time, the potential departure of Heyward and/or Gibson looks a little bit less intimidating.

- True freshman Storm Klein is now the back-up MLB, and he's bookended as a spell guy by Etienne Sabino and Andrew Sweat. See, the kids are alright.

- DeVier Posey, Duron Carter, Dane Sanzenbacher and Ray Small are your top four at wideout

- Rob Rose is now a DT, and has looked good playing the position in extremely limited time

- Bryant Browning is the backup RT, which means if JB Shugarts is writhing on the ground, clutching at his leg in pain in the first quarter Saturday HEAD FOR THE HILLS ONLY THE STRONG WILL SURVIVE

- Devon Torrence and Andre Amos are still battling for the corner spot, with Torrence appearing to have the edge.

- Mike Adams is back, large and apparently in-charge. He saw time at LT this past Saturday, and actually looked quite good. He and Andy Miller are locked into a pretty tight contest, and it appears that, for now at least, he's out of the doghouse.

I’ve been wondering, but assuming Dorian Bell has been red shirted, am I correct? Or is there some other info I have not heard yet?

I believe he hasn't seen any PT yet

So he’s still eligible to redshirt.
