Alright, it's a beautiful day and I'm a bit under the weather

Won’t be able to do a play-by-play-by-FREAKOUT today. Hopefully, there won’t be too much to talk about outside of the offense exploding for 40+ points. Toledo’s giving up an average of 45 points a game, so 40 or so might not seem so outlandish.

Kicking off to the Rockets.

It’s all but certain they’ll move the ball early, isn’t it?

First offensive play's a pass, but broken up

These guys are vulnerable as hell against the run.

Pressure with four?

It’s been a long time.

Chekwa isn't as much of a liability on an island as I thought he'd be

Holding up like that against a 6’5" 220 pound receiver?

I think Pryor's gaining some confidence

Also, Jordan Hall!

A TD on this drive and it's probably over

Defensive line has been excellent, linebackers all over the place (but no B-Rolle sighting) and the secondary has held up extremely well, minus one slightly blown coverage on Williams

The punterception hasn't seem to hurt Pryor's self-esteem too much

Throwing some darts compared to the first two weeks.

Herron now has a TD in seven straight games

Great blocking and great vision from Boom.

Nice last couple run plays.

How has the offense looked I just found the game

The running game has yet to get untracked, but outside of two ungainly lobs

The passing game has been clicking more often than not.

The offense needs to get it going.

The defense is fine IMO

Yeah, another touchdown or two before the half would be ideal

The line is again playing out of its mind

This D-Line is looking phenominal

Gotta love it.

Whew they almost got one there.

That would not have been good. Keep this pressure though I like it.

Yeah, it was accurate

but it felt ticky-tack

No just unneeded to do that.

Could have been avoided by a fair catch or something. It won’t matter in the long run though

Doug Worthington is a huge, huge boon for this team in passing situations

On those 3rd- and 4th-and-shorts, he’s a bit of a liability, but when we know the pass is coming, he’s like a 3rd DE with the strength to beat a guard.

Pretty bad holding by Browning, but Saine saw that massive hole quite quickly

and they follow up that play with one that would have worked if the FB blocked the right guy

Saine is definitely developing into the weapon we need him to be

Well, in the passing game anyway.

Blah he might have scored if he just ran in

but I like seeing him looking to pass.

I do too, but man, when was the last time this offense put up 28 in the first half?

Can’t be that long ago, but today would have been nice.

In a game like this, where we should dominate,

I tend to look at the process more than the results. It might be my baseball mind mixing with football. But seeing him looking down field and making a good pass, took a nice deflection to stop it, makes me feel good going forward because we need him to be able to do that.

Alright, first half positives

- D-line is McRidiculous. Last week was no fluke
- Offensive line looked okay out of the gate in pass pro, showing flashes of brilliance and utter incompetence in run blocking
- Downfield blocking from WRs: meh
- Downfield catching from Sanzenbacher: Yay!
- Posey definitely coming along
- Chekwa is holding his own against Williams, which I didn’t expect him to
- Bringing nasty amounts of pressure with just four, sometimes three down linemen.

And on that note of negativity, I'm done keeping up with the game

at least until Toledo makes it interesting.
