Bucknotes redefines the "most important play in the game"

That, my friends, is former Buckeye punter AJ Trapasso scoring a touchdown in last night's HOF game. Click here to watch the whole thing.

With stadium delayed, FAU Owls look to play Michigan State on road to open 2010
FAU might play a home game in Ford Field. Right. Carry on.

Iowa Legends: Warren Holloway gets a new home - Black Heart Gold Pants
As a longtime customer of Columbus' jankiest thrift stores, I can testify that there are treasures to be found in the wild white trash yonder. Here, Hayden Fry's Moustache Ride finds a gem of Iowa football at a D.A.V thrift store. Hijinks ensue.

The top 20 Ohio State football players for 2009: No. 12, Doug Worthington - cleveland.com
Worthington has beefed up to 285 pounds in the offseason, and apparently lost an inch of height. Doug Lesmerises ranks him 12th on the team heading into the season.

Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor quickly becoming known for his speed - cleveland.com
Apparently, he really timed faster than Laamar Thomas. That's just ridiculous. Expect this article to be cited numerous times on ESPN as proofs of Ohio State's "slowness", or "unathleticness", or whatever term Cowherd and May feel like coining this year.

BlogPoll Revamp 2009 | mgoblog
I forgot to mention here that yours truly will be taking over one of Ohio State's spots in MGoBrian's blogpoll, posted over on CBS Sports.

Check-In Day Has Not Been Uneventful | Our Honor Defend
The Tyler Moeller story gets even more complicated:

Ben Koo, a Bucknuts contributor, is reporting that Tyler Moeller was sucker-punched in a bar. Bucknuts reports the same rumor in the previously linked article, saying that the injury occurred a few weeks ago. However, Koo adds the unfortunate twist that Moeller never got his injuries checked out by a physician, ultimately resulting in recent brain surgery that will cost him his junior year. Shelly Poe, team spokeswoman, hasn’t chimed in yet. Moeller’s injury and absence has naturally brought down the mood surrounding check-in.

So I guess the 7-on-7 drill story was... fake? If Moeller is really down for the year, it's a big loss, even with the unbelievable depth at linebacker. Moeller was the best-looking player in the spring game behind Terrelle Pryor himself. Where this really hurts Ohio State is in its blitzing strategies; Moeller would have been a terror off the edge for most offensive tackles, but now, if all this is true, it's looking like we're going to have to wait 'til next year to see it.

The Buckeye Battle Cry | Eddieeeeeeee! Want to talk to youuuuuuuuuu!
Excellent, excellent Eddie Murphy reference by Jeff at the BBC

With arrest behind him, Ohio State's Jaamal Berry promises "I'm not here to make any problems." - cleveland.com
Berry sounds genuinely sorry for his actions, and I've yet to get the impression that he's anything less than an outstanding kid.

Rob Oller commentary: Pryor is one of the few who can supply a title
Rob Oller sez:

As the Buckeyes report to preseason camp today, it's worth noting that while they will go only as far as Pryor takes them, the flip side is that he can take them all the way. It should reassure OSU fans that a singular, exceptional talent such as Pryor is capable of not only getting his team to the big game, but also winning the darn thing -- by himself, if need be.

To which I sez: Vince Young wouldn't have won the title if his offensive line (and in some cases, the entire freaking team) didn't block like gangbusters against USC.

Top pick Malcolm Jenkins agrees to 5-year deal with New Orleans. - NFL - SI.com
Jenkins gets canonized for what's believed to be about 19 million dollars, ending his holdout. Currently listed as a back-up, but expect that to change once he reports.

Other than, like, the fact that he got arrested with an ounce of pot.
