Off and Running

Come one, come all (five of you) to the new home of Ohio State football and basketball on the one, the only SportsBlogsNation, or SBN if you're hip to the beat. Your intrepid blogger here at We Will Always Have Tempe is Sam, the sensitive artiste formerly known as "poguemahone" throughout the college football bloggernets. Those of you who don't know me or didn't read my former "blog", raise your hand. Alright, that's just about everyone. Thanks for your time. I am a student at THE Ohio State University, majoring in communications. For a short while, I wrote a blog titled "A Pox on Charlie Bauman" that I began in December, the year of our Noodly Lord 2008. I assure you I have nothing against Mr.  Bauman, the bastard donkeyfucker who got Woody Hayes fired. Stop looking at me like that. Seriously. You can see that we've moved all my old entries to the new site, so if you want to see a blogger in the nascent stages of his developments, look below. Be warned: it's ugly.

Star-divide

How did all this get started? Well, one day I posted an analysis of Ohio State's running game and how it changes with Terrelle Pryor and Beanie Wells in the backfield over on BurntOrangeNation, another fine SBN establishment, and caught the eyes of the Powers That Be. In a matter of weeks I signed a contract in my own blood and the blood of three virgin yaks and now I do this whole blawgin' thing for massive amounts of monies. Really.

Anyway, I plan on providing you with all the things you've come to expect from your college football blog reading experience, including but not limited to:

- news

- analysis

- opinion

- humor that most 12-year olds would find low-brow

- drunken post-game ranting, or other harebrained posts in which I claim to be drunk to explain away an utterly incoherent rant

- Mainstream media bashing willy-nilly. THEY STARTED IT

All in all, should be a happenin' time. I personally follow football and basketball with relatively equal fervor, and like a lot of fans at almost every division one school, any other sport that finds itself in the national spotlight for whatever reason. All will be covered here in time, and I'll be sure to promote any and all fanposts on the non-revenue sports that I deem noteworthy. Of course, I'd be remiss to say that my greatest passion is not Ohio State football, 3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-punt warts and all. I'll be busy almost year-round, because there is always something new and interesting to cover at a football factory like Ohio State. And this time of year, Thad Matta always has the roundballers in the March Madness mix (tough end this year, unfortunately); so there should be no lack of things to discuss.

So sit down, kick off your shoes, put your feet up, lean back and enjoy the melodies.

Welcome

What I love about your blog is the name? “We will always have Tempe” a reference to the biggest fluke in recent college football history.

That is the reason why Ohio State is down and can’t win the “big one.” Its simple the Vest sold his soul that season. Thats the only way to explain that 14-0 season, the breaks that a team got could only be explained by some kind of otherworldly intervention. When three out of the four biggest plays in your season were pass interference calls you know something was up.

Its karma for the Vest as to why Ohio State is struggling in big games. He sold his soul, even though he has had about four teams that were more talented than that lucky bunch and has only faced one team that was the caliber of an opponent as Miami.

Look

I’m not saying it was the worst call in history, but its a call you don’t make at the National Championship game in Overtime unless it was a no brainer. You just can’t call PI in a situation like that. It had to be a really blatant foul for it to be called and that wasn’t. Its the equivalent of calling a foul in the final seconds of game seven of the Finals unless the guy was completely hacked you swallow your whistle there.

Also pictures like the other ones of guys being held happen like every other play in a game. You can look at photos of every game and fin pictures like that. Thats not gonna prove anything. You can also find pictures of Buckeye lineman holding as well.
