The Parting Glass
The saying goes that "all good things must come to an end", and unfortunately, the all-too-short time I have spent here at SportsBlogsNation is drawing to a close. "Real life" has a way of screwing with one's blogging schedule, as I have recently come to realize. This time next month I'll be working a brand spankin' new job with rather unforgiving hours, and that's on top of an already busy class schedule. I'll barely be able to keep up with the Buckeyes, let alone blog about them. Regrettably, I'll be moving on from blogging at We Will Always Have Tempe as of December 31st; three weeks from yesterday, to help clear up what has become an increasingly hectic schedule. I won't be here to liveblog the Rose Bowl, though I will most certainly have a preview up in the days leading up to the game.
No need to panic; there are plenty of other places to get Buckeye knowledge dropped upon ye at a moment's notice here on the internets, and I believe plans are being set in motion for my successor here at SBN, whoever it may be. Being an Ohio State blogger on SBN is apparently akin to being a Roman Emperor between the years 235 and 284; your reign is roughly as long and your end is typically just as bloody. All joking aside, I can't avoid this, and if I could, I most certainly would. SBN has been a great place to blog for, and my readers - all seven of you - have been terrific along the way.
I planned on keeping this short. If you have questions, or if you think you'd be interested in contributing as a writer for the next Buckeye blog here on SBN, feel free to contact Peter Bean. In the meantime, it'll be business-as-usual here up until the 31st. Hope you've enjoyed reading this blog as much as I've enjoyed writing it.
Happy Holidays, and Go Bucks.

This is indeed a sad day in Buckeye blogging history.
Columbus til I die, Columbus til I die. I know I am, I swear I am, Columbus til I die!

sad
i had your site bookmarked and part of my morning blog surfing at work… thanks for the great job and entertainment through the years. best of luck and come back when time permits! :)
Sam, say it isn’t so!
I hope they keep the blog name, I’d hate to lose all of the historical stories/posts like what happened last time.
And of course, I hope you still do some posting from time to time on the new site as well.
If this is the end of WWAHT...
…just remember, we will always have “We Will Always Have Tempe”

that sucks...
sam — wish you the best as you move forward man. i’ll miss your commentary and opinions. GO BUCKS.
Good luck...
and sorry to see you go. Compared to other fanbases out there, I think the Buckeye blogosphere is sadly lacking intelligent discussion of strengths/weaknesses. Some of the larger OSU communities out there are just so poorly written and barely researcherd. You’ll be missed.
Coming from the enemy, your well respected man and we’ve always appreciated your talents. Best of luck with your life my friend.

A michigan blog with a hint of big ten flavoring. There's nothing better right?
I haven’t been following your blog for long — I only recently started reading about it because of the impending Ducks/Bucks matchup — but what I’d seen had impressed me. Good luck to you with wherever life takes you.
Also, thanks for putting up with some of the more rabid members of the UO fanbase for the last few weeks. The silent majority of UO fans know that tOSU is not to be underestimated or dismissed. There’s a reason that you guys basically deplete your senior roster into the pros every year.

What, leaving the day before the Rose Bowl?
Just kidding…Best of Luck
I’ve enjoyed reading your blog and interacting on the live blogs. You didn’t mention what career you are following but hopefully you can continue with writing in some way.
good luck in you're endeavors
