Visitor from Austin, TX

Hey all,

I'm  a senior at the University of Texas at Austin who is planning to spend my Thanksgiving and Christmas at Columbus, OH. With that said, exactly what is there to do in Columbus? I understand this is the wrong place to post this type of entry but I am quite desperate.

The idea of being locked inside my parents' house for 4 weeks sound quite hellish to me. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Wherever you go

You should definitely rock all the Horns gear you can possibly don. Yeah, that will go well.

He will get some occasional jeers, but other than that we’re not to hostile during the holidays.

Now if it was last year, well than there might have been an issue.

You can go anywhere in Cbus man. There is a ton of things to do. Polaris Mall, Easton, anywhere in the Short North area is cool. If you’re old enough to drink hit up any bar around. The Bar Louie in Easton is a fun place to get drinks.

Take a road trip to Cincy or Cle.

 . . . That’ll rile up the natives.

But seriously, there is NHL. I always enjoyed hanging out in German
Village, where there is a great book store called the Book Loft, plus lots of quaint shops, great restaurants and bars. The Brewery District is not too far away.

I guess from there it all depends on what you like to do.

Yeah, Cbus does have a lot to offer.

Definitely a lot of cool bars there. That’s usually what I do when I’m there, unless I actually can afford to see a Buckeyes game.
