Bucknotes isn't looking too far ahead

First things first, as always on Mondays, the game recaps

Hoosier Hospitality
 Official Dispatch Recap

No. 9 Ohio State Buckeyes keep rolling with 33-14 win over Indiana Hoosiers | Ohio State Buckeyes - cleveland.com - - cleveland.com
CPD recap

Hoosier Hospitality | Eleven Warriors
Hmm.... that title looks familiar (though I'm 90 percent sure their recap was up before the Dispatch's). 11W recap.

Pryor shows off arm, legs in Buckeyes' pasting of Indiana - NCAA College Football Recap - ESPN
ESPN sounds... optimistic and supportive of Pryor?

Ohio State 33, Indiana 14: Buckeyes overwhelm mistake-prone Hoosiers. - The Crimson Quarry

The Crimson Quarry surveys Saturday's aftermath, and comes away with a (bold?) prediction.

"Michigan is going to get absolutely slaughtered this year".

This from someone who just got done watching their team play both teams back-to-back. That's encouraging.

Ohio State marches on behind Pryor, defense - Big Ten - ESPN
Rittenberg Recap

Further news and notes:

OSU's Larimore carted off the field in homecoming - Cleveland.com
Larimore's injury isn't as serious as it appeared at the time of this writing, but one other note: Marcus Hall did get in for a few snaps, spelling JB Shugarts. Shugarts was intermittently average yesterday, but did not struggle so mightily as to draw attention to himself. Do any of you think his job is in danger?

What we learned in the Big Ten: Week 5 - College Football Nation - ESPN
I still have nightmares about John Clay dancing through the Ohio State secondary last year. I stand by my belief that, had Bielema recognized Clay's ability to gash us in that '08 game, we wouldn't have won.

UC ahead of OSU in AP poll for first time since '51 - NewsFlash - cleveland.com
You know what, I'm just gonna let it slide. It's obvious that the slobberfest for the Bearcats will continue unabated until someone in the Big East decides to stop them. That just might happen in Tampa in about two weeks, but until then, I think the AP will do all it can to stoke a non-existent rivalry.

BuckeyeXtra - The Bottom Line
Anderson Russell deserves quite a bit of credit; he looked good, though I think he was responsible for one of Tandon Doss's longer gains. Nevertheless, two turnovers all but erases one missed assignment. This game was huge for his mental state.

BuckeyeXtra - Bob Hunter commentary: A new era for Indiana? Naw, same old Hoosiers
And, depending on the next few games, they might be looking for a new head coach.

i'm anxious to see if the play calling stays like this the rest of the year.

especially in the big games at penn state and michigan. i love that pryor takes virtually every snap from the shotgun now, but i fear that tressel is just going to go back to mr. conservative and play the field position/3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust game against an overrated penn state team.
